-- GENERAL

  • EETimes: Industry articles in electronics design with a focus on embedded design, communications, signals and silicon engineering. Link to the EE Design library for 2,000+ articles arranged in categories.
  • Electrical Engineering Circuits Archive: The Electrical Engineering Circuits Archive (EECA) is maintained by the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Washington, and serves as a public access database of circuit designs especially for engineering students and professionals.
  • eFunda Engineering Fundamentals: Its mission is to create an online destination for the engineering community, where working professionals can quickly find concise and reliable information to meet the majority of their daily reference needs.
  • Electrical Power Research Institute: "EPRI is a consortium of over 700 organizations involved in the generation, delivery, and the use of electricity." The site provides technical articles, links to industry groups, and discussions of R&D directions. The EPRI Journal is available as well.
  • GlobalSpec - The Engineering Search Engine: GlobalSpec focuses solely on engineering-related information and now indexes roughly 200 million pages of technical information, including 15,500 online product catalogs and 199 million engineering & technical Web pages. Limit your search in several ways -- to products and suppliers, service suppliers, a company by name, or the Engineering Web (technical and engineering-related websites), where you can search everything or just application notes, material properties, patents, standards or supplier websites. A part number search is in beta.
  • IEEE: Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers: The IEEE (Eye-triple-E) is a non-profit, technical professional association of more than 380,000 individual members in 150 countries. Through its members, the IEEE is a leading authority in technical areas ranging from computer engineering, biomedical technology and telecommunications, to electric power, aerospace and consumer electronics, among others.
  • International Society of Optical Engineering: The International Society for Optical Engineering is dedicated to advancing research, engineering, and applications in optics, photonics, imaging, and electronics.
  • Lexicon of Semiconductor Terms, Abbreviations and Acronyms: Online dictionary by Intersil.
  • Science.gov - Electronics: Government science organizations select their best science information for science.gov. Includes selected authoritative science Web sites and often hard-to-access scientific databases (specific content varies by database).
